What Is an Aruba ED Card?

An Aruba ED Card is an entry requirement for nationals of visa-exempt countries travelling to Aruba. It is not a visa — it is a pre-travel permission linked electronically to your passport. An approved ED Card allows multiple short stays in Aruba of up to 6 months each, and is valid for 2 years or until your passport expires, whichever comes first.

The ED Card is required for travel to Aruba, including transit through Aruba airports.

Who Needs to Apply?

If you hold a passport from one of the 83 countries listed above and are travelling to Aruba for tourism, business, study (up to 6 months), or transit, you must obtain an ED Card before departure. Children and infants require their own ED Card. There are no exemptions based on age.

Residents with a valid Aruba visa or residence permit may be exempt.

Not on the List?

If your country is not listed above, you are not eligible for an ED Card and will need to apply for an Aruba visa instead. Please visit the official Aruba ED Card system for visa guidance.
